Schwenksville Man Threatened to Shoot People, Police Say

The man said he was walking from Baltimore, Md. to Schwenksville.

  A Schwenksville man who allegedly threatened to shoot people in Shrewsbury, York County, on Feb. 5 has been charged with terroristic threats and disorderly conduct, according to ABC27.com. Gary Thomas Heller, 53, who was reported as living in Schwenksville in June, was allegedly found along a Main Street in Shrewsbury shouting profanities and threatening to shoot people at 7 p.m., police said. Heller, who told police he was homeless, said he was walking from Baltimore, Md., to Schwenksville, according to police. The trip, according to Google Maps, is 136 miles long. The site estimates the walk to take around 36 hours, though warns users to "Use caution – This route may be missing sidewalks or pedestrian paths." Subscribe to our free …

Gary is a harmless young man. We clothed him and fed him . We even gave him shelter a few times . I feel very bad for Gary. He was a familiar site to us as he stopped in the barber shop near daily. Gary isn't of the soundest mind . He does not belong in a jail . Oh Gary .   more ›
