Girl Scout Troops Spruce Up Skippack Elementary Garden
Wednesday, May 30th, Girl Scout Troops in the local area pulled together to start renovation on the small garden at Skippack Elementary. Using money that they earned from their recent cookie season, they bought plants and help from a local landscaping business. Blue Tree Landscaping dropped the plants off and the girls got to work. This project was perfect for the girls to give back to the community. Below is a link to the proposed plan for the garden http://pvsd.skippack.schoolfusion.us/modules/groups/homepagefiles/cms/133841/File/SEEDactivity(1).pdf?sessionid=a01ccb8074ee2a21fbe75c6aabab5012

Parents had the chance to weigh in on recommendation going before the Perkiomen Valley School Board
Voicing concerns about long bus rides and a lack of a long-term solution, parents took turns discussing Skippack Elementary School's overpopulation problem during a sometimes-heated Town Hall meeting, Monday evening, April 30, in the high school's auditorium. The school's crowding is a long-standing problem, and a recent series of subcommittee meetings has led the administration to recommend reconfiguring classrooms. The reconfiguration should allow special-area subjects (such as art, foreign language) to have classroom space instead of being taught from carts that travel from …
