Freezing Rain, Heavy Rain and Flood Advisories Issued for Montco

National Weather Service says the area could get wet weather through Monday morning.

According to ReadyNotifyPA alerts, the National Weather Service has issued a freezing rain advisory for Montgomery County. The county is also under a heavy rain and flood advisory. The advisory issued states that the county could see freezing rain conditions from 3 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 11. The conditions could largely affect the morning commute. "As warmer air moves in at the surface, the freezing rain should change to rain in most areas between 8 and 10 a.m. Monday morning," said the NWS. Those needing to get to work and school in the early morning hours may find dangerous conditions. "Untreated roadways, especially bridges and overpasses wil become extremely slippery," said the advisory notice. "Expect longer commuting times …

Hi Leigh, I agree totally with you. People drive way to fast in icy roads. There will probably be black ice, which is more dangerous. You do not know it is there until it is too late.   more ›
