The Collegeville Police Department was thanked for helping when Plymouth Township Police Officer Bradley Fox was killed in the line of duty in September.
Plymouth Township officials visited the March Collegeville Borough Council meeting to thank the borough, and its police department, for helping the township when Plymouth Township Police Officer Bradley Fox was shot and killed in the line of duty in September. Officials have planned a gala "Night for Brad" at Elmwood Park Zoo this Friday, Nov. 2.
Norristown Police and Fire department and several community members have banded together to organize a "Night for Brad," gala community fundraiser honoring fallen Plymouth Township Police Officer Bradley Fox who was killed in the line of duty on Sept. 13, on the eve of his 35th birthday. The fundraiser is planned for this Friday, Nov. 2 from 5 to 10 p.m. at Elmwood Park Zoo. Tickets are still available for $20 in advance and will be available for $30 at the door. Montgomery County authorities on Friday afternoon identified Andrew Charles Thomas, 44, as the man who shot and killed Plymouth Township police officer Bradley Fox on Thursday evening. Thomas was on probation after pleading guilty to forgery charges in May, authorities said. An examination by Dr. Erica Williams of the Montgomery County Coroner's Office found that Thomas died from two "close contact" gunshot wounds to the chest. His death was ruled a suicide. According to the Montgomery County District Attorney's office, Thomas' forgery charge resulted from a 2005 incident in Upper Merion when he used $140.00 worth of counterfeit Acme gift certificates.
