PV Vikings Had a Record-Breaking Season Without Playoffs

The Perkiomen Valley Vikings football finished their season 8-3 and broke a few records over the exceptional season.

  While back-to-back losses to Pottsgrove and Spring-Ford prevented the Perkiomen Valley Vikings from making the Pioneer Athletic Conference playoffs, the football team still has a lot to be proud of this season. "Pottsgrove is a really, really good football team, and so is Spring-Ford," PVHS head coach Scott Reed told The Mercury. "Our kids never quit in either game. They played their hearts out." The Mercury's Don Seeley pointed out a number of other achievements for the team over the past season: Vikings won their first seven games for the very first time, and fell only one game shy of their school-record eight-game winning streak from 2007.
