Motorcyclist Hospitalized after Perkiomen Crash
The incident occurred on Gravel Pike at Plank Road Tuesday morning.
A 26-year-old Norristown woman was injured during a Tuesday morning crash on Gravel Pike at Plank Road, in which a Schwenksville woman allegedly failed to stop at a marked stop sign, according to the Pennsylvania State Police. Gladys Molina, of Schwenksville, was turning left on to Gravel Pike from Plank Road in her Volvo S60 when she struck Marilyn Steckiel, 26, of Norristown, who was riding a Honda Interceptor motorcycle, around 7:30 a.m. according to police. Steckiel was thrown from her motorcycle and landed in the southbound lane of Gravel Pike; Molina went on to strike a tree and came to a rest in the southbound shoulder of Gravel Pike, police said. Is there a place or person that we could lobby to get this intersection realigned before someone is killed there? I'm appalled that we don't place a higher priority on a reasonable level of safety included in our road planning and construction.   more ›
