Elderly Man Questioned After Joyriding Shopping Cart: According to a report in the Lower Providence Patch, an elderly man was questioned by police after he was observed riding a shopping cart on Trooper Road. An ambulance dashboard camera caught the thief in the act as he took the ambulance on a joyride around Norristown.
Local news station 6ABC Action News has managed to procure actual footage from Wednesday's ambulance theft, recorded by the dashboard camera in the Plymouth Community Ambulance vehicle as the thief joyrides through the streets of Norristown. Click here to view the dashcam footage Norristown Police were searching for the vehicle late Wednesday afternoon after it was stolen from the scene of a medical emergency at the Department of Public Welfare on New Hope Street. The thief reportedly made off with the ambulance while EMS personnel were inside the building on the call. Another ambulance had to be dispatched to the scene to replace it.
