Green Lane Ambulance Becoming Advanced Livesafers

The last basic life support ambulance company in the county will become an advanced life support company by the end of January, thanks to a partnership with medics from Harleysville EMS

On Jan. 29, a legacy will end in Montgomery County lifesaving. Community Ambulance Service of Green Lane is the last remaining ambulance company in the county that operates as BLS, or Basic Life Support. Soon, with a partnership with Harleysville Area Emergency Medical Services, Community Ambulance Service of Green Lane will be an Advanced Life Support company. Harleysville Area EMS (Station 344) will partner a paramedic from its corps with an Emergency Medical Technician from Community Ambulance Service of Green Lane (Station 328) — therefore becoming ALS. ALS Beef and Beer Fundraiser at Molly's Saturday

The event benefits Joyce Dutton, a 63-year-old fighting ALS, or Lou Gehrig's Disease. For $35, you get apps and open bar on liquor, beer and draft

“Fans, for the past two weeks you have been reading about the bad break I got. Yet today I consider myself the luckiest man on the face of the earth." - Lou Gehrig Like Gehrig, Joyce Dutton also has a bad break. But there's no reason she should feel like the unluckiest gal on Earth. Come out and show support so Joyce can remain living with her grandchildren and daughter, Tracy Dutton Gaal. The 63-year-old is fighting ALS, or amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, also known as Lou Gehrig's Disease. Joyce's daughter has put on a benefit for her Saturday at 8 p.m. at Molly Maguire's in Lansdale.
