There are two new ways to sell your unwanted items without having to setup a yard sale in your front yard. The parent’s page is exclusively for kids, tweens and teens items, with current items listed including children clothing of all sizes, shoes, toy trains, a high chair and more. A young black bear was caught in Blue Bell on Saturday and will be released back into the wild on Sunday.
A black bear, originally spotted by residents in Franconia Township, was caught on Saturday night in Blue Bell, according to NBC 10. NBC 10 reported that the Pennsylvania Game Commission said the bear is a young male and was captured once before and released into Schyulkill County, but has made it was back to Montgomery County. “The bear has been tranquilized and will be released into the wild on Sunday,” said the NBC 10 report. Last week, Lower Frederick residents reported seeing a bear around the township, according to an e-mail to Perkiomen Valley Patch. The message stated that one person saw a bear coming up from the Perkiomen Creek to Colonial Drive, and another person claimed to have seen a bear around Salford Station Road. A comment…

Man flown for treatment
A man was unconscious but breathing following a motorcycle crash by Skippack Pike and Haldeman Road, Perkiomen Township, around 3:45 p.m. Saturday, May 19. According to early reports, the man's front motorcycle tire locked and he lost control of the bike. He was unconscious but breathing at the scene, reports indicate. The severity of his injuries are unknown; he was flown from Central Perkiomen Valley Park. Members from Perkiomen, Schwenksville and Skippack fire companies assisted with the incident. Pennsylvania State Police also responded to the scene. Patch will publish more information as it becomes available.

Pretend trip back in time took place Friday, May 18
Perkiomen Valley School District contributed to the following information: On a gorgeous Friday morning, South Elementary held its Colonial Fair. The fair is a 22-year-old tradition that is held every year in front of the school. Roughly 16 presenters were there to teach the children about life in colonial times. The students learned about the colonial life in their classrooms so this is a perfect application of their knowledge. Different stations were set up such as dancing, ice-cream making, quilting, games, and other fun crafts. Members of the school and local community pulled through and made it a great day for the students.

A total of 1,563 students received their degrees and certificates from Montgomery County Community College on Thursday evening.
Montgomery County Community College graduated their largest class in school history on Thursday evening, as family and friends packed the Blue Bell campus to see the1,563 students receive their degrees and certificates. The graduating class represents an increase of more than 18-percent from last year, which also includes the highest amount of west-campus graduates in a given year at 293. This year's class also boasted 11 Honors Program participants, 44 students with a 3.9 GPA or higher, and 49 foreign students from 23 countries. Collegeville Police Officer Andrew Sohl responded to a report of a suspicious male at Wawa. The shift manager called police after approaching a man who who had been walking around the store "holding something under his sleeve," the report states. The man reportedly became argumentative. He had left the store by the time Sohl and Officer Cubbler arrived, so they began to check the area. Around 2 a.m., Sohl saw a man dressed in black clothes and a black knit hat exiting from the front yard of 23 E. Fourth Ave., the report states.
