Trappe Community Day Happening Saturday

The free, fun-filled community event will celebrate its tenth anniversary in Waterworks Park.

The tenth anniversary of the Trappe Community Day will be held on Saturday at Waterworks Park, promising a day of performances, food, and plenty of activities.

The event begins at 10 a.m. at the Main Stage in the park, located at 230 W. First Ave, with Lori O'Lock singing the national anthem; the fun will last until 4:30 p.m.

During the day, bands such as the Bailout Adult Jazz Ensemble, Rock & Roll After School Supergroup and others, beginning at 2 p.m.

At 12:30 p.m., Magician and Illusionist Clive Allen will wow the crowd, and puppeteer Gene Galligan will also perform.

Activities for children include inflatables, a rock climbing wall, face painting, clowns, pony rides, and visits from some mascots.

"Bring your Talented Pooch," held at 1:30 PM on the Main Stage, is a chance to enjoy the skills of local dogs & their trainers.  Doggy Talent Contest prizes will be awarded by Perk Valley Pet Eatery.
