Schwenksville Barber Shop to Host Benefit for Limerick Teen

John Scioli, owner of John's Old School New Skool Barber Shop, will host a benefit on Sunday with proceeds going to the family of Brian Clarke, who died from injuries sustained after he was struck by a vehicle while riding his bike on July 11.

As the community continues to mourn the untimely passing of , a local business owner has generously decided to help the victim's family in their time of need.

John Scioli, owner of , will host a benefit at his shop on Sunday, July 29, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., with all proceeds going to the family of Brian Clarke, who succumbed to his injuries on Monday after being .

"I decided to host this benefit because it is a tragic thing when such a young man loses his life," said Scioli. "Parents are not supposed to bury their children. It is a tragedy that struck home, being a parent myself. I am doing this to add a little financial support to help the family in this time of grief and sadness."

, who knew both the victim and his father through frequent visits to his barber shop, said the benefit will feature numerous items for raffle, including high-end women's sunglasses, gift certificates to local restaurants and "other neat items." Additionally, Pat Hoffman, owner of , will be giving out samples from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. outside the shop.

"There has been overwhelming support from the community in way of donations and giveaways for our auction -- or raffle, if you may," said Scioli, adding that every cent brought in by the shop on Sunday, including donations, raffles, , and even tips, would go to the Clarke family.
