Perkiomen Watershed Conservancy to Honor Residents, Organizations

An event will be held at RiverCrest Golf Club on Oct. 24

The Perkiomen Watershed Conservancy will hold its annual Environmental Awards Banquet on Oct. 25, honoring those who support the conservancy throughout the year.

The event will be held at the RiverCrest Golf Club and Preserve beginning at 5:30 p.m., and will honor the following:

Advocate of the Watershed:  Dr. Timothy Block, Morris Arboretum

Corporate:  SKF USA, Inc.

Preston Luitweiler Friend of the Watershed : Pam Bowen

Kids Making a Difference:  Shanna Law, Sherri Law

Land Use:  The Vineyards Community, Pennsburg

Municipal:  Lower Providence Township

Teaching Excellence:  Patrick Hurley, PhD, Ursinus College

As a major fundraiser for the conservancy, businesses and individuals can support the event by purchasing a ticket, placing an ad in the Awards Program, serving as an Event Sponsor, or donating a Silent Auction item.

All proceeds from the event go towards environmental education, conservation and restoration of the watershed, and community outreach.
