Perk Valley Schools, Trappe Fire Co. Collecting Coats

Coats will be collected for Cradles to Crayons as part of the Martin Luther King Day of Service.

The Perkiomen Valley School District is working with Cradles to Crayons to serve as a drop-off point for coats for needy children as part of the district's Martin Luther King Day of Service activities.

Residents can drop off gently-used coats, sized newborn to 14/16, to Schwenksville Elementary, Perkiomen Valley Middle School East and the Perkiomen Valley School District Office on Iron Bridge Drive through Friday.

On Monday, the Trappe Fire Co. will serve as a collection point from 9 a.m. through 3 p.m.

“Your donation of new and like-new children’s coats will support Cradles to Crayons’ efforts to provide children living in homeless or low-income situations with the essentials they need to thrive,” according to the organization.
