Warrant Service in Pottstown Yields New Charges

Douglass Twp State Constables and Pottstown Police Arrest 2 on Warrants and 4 New Criminal Charges

Note: An incident report or arrest does not signify a conviction. All accused are innocent until proven guilty.

In the early AM hours on Friday, January 24th, Constables from Douglass Township State Constables Office and Pottstown PD converged on the Quality Inn located on King Street in Pottstown Borough in search of two wanted subjects allegedly staying in a room at the hotel.

Shortly after arrival, one of the subjects, a Justin Monahan, was located at the entrance to his room and was taken into custody without incident. Inside the room, the second wanted subject, Andrew Clee, was located and also taken into custody. During the service of the warrants, suspected narcotics and related paraphernalia were discovered in plain view and as a result, the two other subjects in the room, Timothy Monahan and Carla Monahan, were taken into custody and all were transported back to Pottstown PD station.

Justin Monahan, Timothy Monahan, and Andrew Clee were all arraigned before MDJ Palladino on the new charges and were committed to MCCF in lieu of $10,000 cash bail. Carla Monahan was released on $10,000 unsecured bail.

Clee is currently awaiting hearings concerning DUI and related charges, and has a lengthy list of previous convictions for assaults and other charges. After a records search, it was found he is also registered as a Megan's Law Offender.
