Perk Valley, Spring-Ford Football to Face Off Friday

The game will mark the PAC-10 season opener for the Spring-Ford Rams; the Perkiomen Valley Vikings beat Methacton last week.

Neighboring Perkiomen Valley and Spring-Ford High School Football teams will match up on Friday at Spring-Ford for an early-season matchup in the Pioneer Athletic Conference.

Perkiomen Valley is coming off of two impressive wins since the start of the season; a non-league season opener during which they crushed Plymouth Whitemarsh 33-0, and a 44-7 win against Methacton last Friday.

This game will mark Spring-Ford’s first PAC 10 game of the season; following a 37-21 loss to Whitehall, and 34-0 win at South Philadelphia on Sept. 5.

 Last year, Spring-Ford beat Perk Valley 42-28, but the Rams are still working to find a permanent replacement for quarterback Hank Coyne, who passed for 1,908 yards and 26 touchdowns last season and is now at Juniata College, according to Philly.com.
