Building a better website...

Website not performing for you?

As a small/mid-size business, your website is an efficient tool in your communication arsenal...

I've got three simple issues for you...

1.  As you look at your site, would a reader IMMEDIATELY understand what you can do for THEM?

> It should. If you provide emergency service, contact information is key... so put it where it can be seen instantly. If you're selling an "image," make your reader aspire to look like the person on your site!

2.  Deliver what you promise. Many of the links on websites don't take us to the information we're "thinking" we're linking to.

> Attention spans on the web are very short. If someone lands on your homepage and sees a link that interests them, they'll click. But if the information doesn't deliver on that initial promise, the viewer is gone... and getting them back is very tough.

3.  Eliminate out-of-date content. No one wants to see event coverage from 2012. I don't need to explain this one!

Okay... I've got a 4th.

4.  Check spelling and grammar. It shows that you care about what you're doing and it shows me that you have respect for me. Don't waste my time.

Anyone of a certain age (and we have the disposable income today) are turned off to spelling errors, bad grammar, and even    spacing problems.

Have a great week. See you Tuesday./jp
