PVSD Committee Releases School Safety Survey

The safety committee is asking for feedback on school safety in the Perkiomen Valley.

 

The Perkiomen Valley School District has released an online survey regarding school safety.

The PVSD School Safety Committee is requesting feedback regarding the safety of all schools in the district, posing the questions:

“When you come to our schools, what observations have you made about our safety/security procedures?” and, “Are there other areas of school safety that we should think about?”

The school safety committee “meets several times a year to review and act on pertinent issues related to school safety that would affect students and staff in the Perkiomen Valley School District,” according to the district website.

Residents were invited to a meeting last month on emergency preparedness in the school district.

After the December school shooting in Newtown, Conn., the district’s response was swift and included a police presence at schools within the district.
