PVMS East to Hold Cupcake Battle on March 16

It’s 'Game On' at the PVHS Cafeteria, where local merchants, students, and community members will face off for the cupcake title.

Cupcake makers, and eaters, from the area are invited to join the “Battle of the Cupcakes,” a popular annual fundraiser for the Perkiomen Valley Middle School East Home and School Association, where cupcakes will be voted on in various categories on March 16.

“Whether you like to bake, like to see amazing talent, or like to eat…there’s something for everyone,” said a PVMS East press release. “Anyone in the community is welcome!”

Participants – including students, parents, and local merchants – will be judged at the Perkiomen Valley High School Cafeteria; set-up begins at 8:30 a.m., guests can view cupcakes at 10:30 a.m., and sales begin at 11:30 a.m.

The theme for the contest is “Game Day” – participants can create a group of cupcakes decorated to tell a story, or a group of single cupcakes all alike.

Categories include taste, special cupcake (for unique dietary needs), and décor, The last of which is broken into age groups to level the playing field.

There isa $20 fee for reach entry, which includes a t-shirt. Participants do not have to be from the Perkiomen Valley School District register.

The registration forms can be found in the “PDF” section of this article, or online here.

After judging, all cupcakes will be sold on a first-come, first-serve basis to all participants.
