Marching Vikings Receive PV School Board Recognition

Band brings home another win

Marching Vikings received recognition for their first-place win in the U.S. Scholastic Band Association's National Championships.

The following is from the BoardDocs section of the Perkiomen Valley School District website:

The is pleased to recognize the for finishing first in the U.S. Scholastic Band Association National Championships held in Allentown on Nov. 13.

The band competed against 21 others in the Group IIIA Division, and finished with an overall score of 96.588. The band also won caption awards for Best Visual Performance, Best Color Guard, and Best Overall Effect.

It is also noteworthy to mention that out of the 97 ‘A Class’ bands in all group sizes that performed, the Marching Vikings had the third highest score overall – even when competing against bands that were more than twice its size.
