Local Students Honored by Colleges

Quite a few local students have done well in college this past semester, according to the numerous press releases we receive at Patch! Here is a roundup of the most recent batch of honorees. Congratulations to all of them! 

• Paige Brooks was a recipient of the Dean's Award for academic excellence during the 2012 fall term at Colgate University, where Brooks is a member of the Class of 2016. Brooks is a graduate of Perkiomen Valley High School, in Schwenksville, PA.

• William Swiss of Trappe, PA, has been accepted to Ashland University for the fall semester of 2013. Swiss, who is a senior at Perkiomen Valley High School, will receive the Provost's Scholarship of $13,000 annually to attend Ashland University.

• Chandler Giese of Trappe has earned Honors for the fall semester of the 2012-2013 academic year at the University of New Hampshire.

• Brian Smeltzer of Collegeville, PA, recently graduated with a master's of business administration in project management from DeSales University.

• Susanna Sousa, Emily Robinson, and Angelique Meixell, all of Schwenksville, PA, have been honored for academic achievement by being named to the fall 2012 Dean's List at Delaware Valley College.

• Zachery Chang, a resident of Trappe, PA, has been named to the Fall 2012 Dean's List at Roger Williams University in Bristol, R.I. Zachery is majoring in Architecture.

• Drew University student Kristin Zeigler of Collegeville (19426) has been named to the Dean's List for the Fall 2012 semester. 

• Lindsay Bly of Collegeville was named to the dean's list for the fall 2012 semester at Clarion University of Pennsylvania, Clarion, PA.

• Jaime Lynn Del Pizzo of Collegeville was named to the dean's list for the fall 2012 semester at Keene State College, Keene, NH.

• Liza Moore of Collegeville was awarded Dean's List honors for academic achievement during the fall 2012 semester at St. Mary's College of Maryland, St. Mary's City, MD.

• Timothy Gross of Collegeville has been named to the Emory & Henry University Dean's List for the fall semester. Emory & Henry University in located in Emory, VA.

• Ryan Thomas D'Ambrosio of Collegeville has been named to the Dean's List at The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina, for the fall semester of the 2012-2013 academic year.

• Olivia Burgese, a psychology major from Collegeville, Christian Mullins, a hospitality management major from Schwenksville, and Gregory McCummings, an organizational development and leadership major from Collegeville were all named to the Dean's List at Widener University in Chester, PA.

• Kiersten Bonsall, Emily Brooks, Sara Chambers, Katie Conicelli, Bryan Damiano, Kathleen Grimes, Robert Kotheimer, Sean Leary, Kristen Loomis, Kisha Oister, Deanna Roundy, and Emma Sidoriak, of Collegeville; and Alex Lauderback, Alaina Prevot, Christopher Steele, and Devon Swank of Schwenksville were named to the University of Delaware's Dean's List for Fall 2012.
