Milestones in Music @ CMS - Preschoolers Class

Age range: 2 1/2 years to 4 1/2 years
Class size: 10 students without caregiver
Class length: 45 minutes weekly

Preschoolers are ready and able to explore a new level of musical learning, but are often not quite ready to leave behind their parent or caregiver. This class is a perfect win-win schedule for your Preschooler. Caregivers join us for the first 15 minutes of each class. During this time we will explore creative movement, rhythm and dance activities. Caregivers are then excused for the remaining 30 minutes of our class. The portion of the class without caregivers is our time to embrace ourselves as active, energetic, enthusiastic and imaginative Preschoolers! We will experience socialization, sharing and participating in group activities. Singing will become a focus for enhancing the Preschooler’s vocal development, as their expressive language is just beginning to emerge. Musical pretend play activities integrated with music, storytelling, movement and literature will encourage cognitive and literacy skills, creativity and individuality as well as musical readiness. These classes are held weekly for 45 minutes with parent/caregiver present during the first 15 minutes of each class.
