New Collegeville Main Street Business Is the Cat’s Meow

“Time spent with cats is never wasted” – Sigmund Freud

The Collegeville Economic Development Corporation (CEDC) is proud to announce that a new addition to Main Street Collegeville’s business district is truly, the cat’s meow. Last month, Dr. Carole Castro, VMD, relocated her popular Collegeville Cat Clinic from the Redner’s Shopping Center to a new facility at 321 East Main Street.

“We wanted to be on Main Street,” Dr. Castro said. “It is a busier street and a nicer location.” Plus, instead of sharing a parking lot with other businesses, Castro’s cuddly feline clients and their doting companions can conveniently park right behind the clinic in a private parking lot.

The focus of care at the clinic is maintaining a less stressful environment where cats are less afraid than they might be a larger, unspecialized practice.  The clinic is a quiet place with no barking and less paw traffic than a standard veterinarian’s office. Plus, because cats are Dr. Castro’s specialty, she and her four person staff are able to tailor treatments and medication to each client’s unique needs.

Dr. Castro has been treating cats for over 13 years in the Collegeville area. This has allowed her to watch many of her clients grow from frisky kittens to sophisticated senior citizens.

“I love everything about cats,” Castro said. “I love their independent nature and that they are all so different.” Her cats-only clinic allows her to make sure that each one is treated as a VIP.

The clinic is open every weekday and every other weekend. Call (610) 409-8300 for details about how to get your feline friend the care he or she deserves.
