The Art of Persistence

The Art of Persistence
Authored by Matthew Mitlas

When we work hard on shifting our thought processes to ones which resonate with our truest desires and start seeing results, things can sometimes get scary. Coincidences are happening on a daily basis, unexpected forms of income are arriving, and you are meeting people you never expected to. In the beginning, this feels really different and weird! In a response, we tend to fall into those habitual patterns of running away for fearing the new. Something in us starts to bring about a lack of motivation and we spiral back to either where we began or somewhere in between. What can be done about this?

First it is important to identify this fear as anold habit. Our habituated way of thinking tends to be that we are afraid of new experiences or that we are not worthy to experience newer, bigger things. So when we get a glimpse of what’s to come and things finally start going our way, we retreat! It is only natural for us to fall back to what we are familiar with. So, the first step is to recognize the retreating, of the under-valuing of yourself, as an old habit-and of course, one of which you have the power to change!

Next, it is time to take action. Practice persistence! Every time you make up an excuse for yourself to stop visualizing or to stop affirming your true desires, from looking in the mirror and repeating “I love and accept myself!”, recognize it as an old habit of under-valuing yourself and retreating, and then do it anyways! There are NO excuses! Just by persisting with this practice, you are affirming to the universe that you are ready for something new! As Anthony Robbins puts it, “If you do what you’ve always done, you’ll get what you’ve always gotten.” You must persist if you are serious about changing your life.

Give this practice a try because you deserve to live the life of your dreams! Do not let your old habits take control any longer. Instead, be grateful that you have the consciousness to bring about this new change in your life. Once you pass this bump in the road, things will happen even faster. Your life will quickly begin to spiral in all sorts of amazing ways that you won’t even believe where you were when you started this amazing journey.

Many Blessings and Happy Manifesting!
