Speaker's House Tree Lighting [PHOTOS]

Elected officials, local groups and families celebrated the season at the Speaker's House in Trappe Borough.

Trappe Today and Tomorrow welcomed residents to celebrate the holiday season with a tree lighting at the Speaker's House on Wednesday, complete with a visit from Santa.

Music was provided by the Perkiomen Valley Middle School chorus and the Community Music School, and Trappe Mayor Connie Peck lit the tree as dozens of community members watched.

The Douglas Fir was purchased by Justin Bartolomucci of Edward Jones in Trappe, and was transported by Varner's farm. Ms. Aretha Singer's South Elementary School art students provided the hand-made ornaments.
