Perkiomen Township Applying for Traffic Light at Rt. 113, Iron Bridge Drive
The board approved a resolution to begin the process with PennDOT.
The board approved a resolution that authorizes that an application for a traffic signal at Route 113 and Betcher Road and Iron Bridge Drive be sent to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation.
According to Perkiomen Township Manager Cecile Daniel, she had been in correspondence with PennDOT regarding this project since January.
“I want to make it clear that we’re only talking about the traffic signal and not any other road improvements, because that will break the bank,” Daniel said.

This marks the first step in the process; township staff will have additional meetings regarding PennDOT requirements, possibly including a pedestrian study to decide if ramps will be necessary during the project.
