The idea that tax increases are going to even dent the deficit is an utter fabrication, so let's be clear that without any reductions in spending it's all an illusion. In about a year anyone making over 50k will be deemed rich and due for soaking.
All Obama and the Dems do is wait for a Republican proposal, then call it extreme no matter how much sense it might make. Heck they won't even put entitlement spending, which is over 50% of all spending, on the table. They have no desire to eliminate the deficit. I think they want the fiscal cliff scenario, then they can blame it on the Republicans.

First lets get real Mr Gorskis statement that his taxes will go up means he make over 250000 (good for him) In his statement of going thru tough times he forgot to mention how he did this or if his own person income changed in actual dollars. If he had no loss of pay then please don't use the we statement. Money set aside for tough times would be a waste if it were never used. Finally how much business does Gorski get from government contracts that the government needs money to pay for. When the no tax increase agreement was first signed the tax on over 100000 was 62% I think most rational Americans would agree with that today on say all income over 500000. There was no agreement to not lower taxes and when taxes were lowered below a reasonable amount Reagan raised them. One more argument to debunk if taxes had remained at the 62% we would have such a surplus That single payer healthcare would be paid for for the next 200 years How would that have been to pass onto our children. So the next time you hear we are passing the costs onto our kids then remember that the top 2% makes 80% of the wealth and should have their taxes increased to show that differential and not pass costs on to our kids.

they need to tar and feather the higher ups in our gov- with all the perks and salaries they get- how about reducing all of their monies and perks they get- that would eliminate alot of waste and such- pay their own ins- use their own cars- pay their own medical- look at what it costs to run one ship or fly us 1 aircraft- cut back on perks given to capts of these ships- our country will never come out of debt- knock off welfare to the thieves to lazy to work and such

The Obama-Biden plan to raise the top two marginal income tax rates (from 33 and 35 percent today to 36 and 39.6 percent, respectively) is a hike in America’s small business tax rate. Per the IRS, most small business profits face taxation in households making more than $200,000 per year. The IRS keeps track of two types of small business income: sole proprietors, and “pass-through” entities like partnerships and S-corps. There are 30 million tax returns reporting small business income. Owners report business profits of $590 billion. $477 billion faced taxation in households making more than $200,000 a year. Why is unemployment so high under Obama compared to past recoveries? Add to this Obamacare’s 3.8 percent small business surtax which hits automatically regardless of new income tax rates. Small biz owners will literally be working their butts off from New Year's to summer for Uncle Sam. This will lead to hiring freezes and layoffs, guaranteed. When this Chicago politician directly attacks our 1+ million risk-taking visionaries who cautiously buy new equipment & hire, does he expect them to just absorb these huge financial hits? Yes. But will they? No. Everybody loses. Unemployment rises. Economy tanks. Kudos to Jerry for speaking up.
