Pennypacker Mills Presents Victorian Kitchen Cooking

Residents will get a glimpse into what it was like cooking 100 years ago on March 2.

 

Have you ever considered the effort it took to cook in a Victorian Kitchen? Hauling in the wood, stoking the tinderbox, adjusting the airflow, and figuring out what the best temperate “feels like” to cook.

Pennypacker Mills will present a glimpse inside cooking in a Victorian kitchen on March 2 beginning at 10 a.m.

Participants will learn about making pies and tarts on a variety of cast iron flat-bottomed pots and pans on the stovetop and in the oven. Copies of recipes will also be provided.

Cost is $30 per person, ages 12 and up. Pre-registration and pre-payment is required, and can be done by calling 610-278-9349.
