"Campaign finance laws are there to make sure the public knows from whom the candidates and the parties raise their money, and how they spend it. To thumb your nose at the law and the voters like that is just plain wrong," Groen said in a statement sent to the media Tuesday morning.

Under the Campaign Finance Reporting Law, parties filing late reports are assessed a late fee of $20 per day for the first six days the report is late, and $10 for each additional day, up to a maximum of $250.
