Commissioners to Hold Monthly Meeting at Pennypacker Mills

Commissioners will have their bi-monthly meeting in Schwenksville on Sept. 20 at 6 pm.

Montgomery County Commissioners Josh Shapiro, Leslie Richards and Bruce Castor will hold their bi-monthly meeting at Pennypacker Mills, located at 5 Haldeman Road in Schwenksville, at 6 pm on Sept. 20.

Commissioner meetings are customarily held on the first and third Thursdays of the month at 10 AM in Norristown; this month, the third Thursday meeting will be held in the evening at Pennypacker Mills to allow residents to attend and learn more about county business.

According to Montgomery County Communications Director Frank Custer, the commissioners will consider a proposal from the county's solicitor that, if adopted, would provide greater access to voter IDs for Montgomery County residents. Commissioner Bruce Castor will also reportedly update the board on the county's efforts to upgrade the aging public safety radio system.

If you are unable to make the meeting, one-hour edited versions of the Montgomery County Commissioners meetings are televised throughout the county.
