Youth Mannequin Presented to Schwenksville Fire Co.

The National Automobile Dealers Charitable Foundation presented the mannequin for training purposes as part of a national program.

The National Automobile Dealers Charitable Foundation (NADCF) donated a youth CPR Training Mannequin to the Schwenksville Fire Company during a presentation on Oct. 18.

"This is something we feel is necessary throughout the country so that we can save lives," said National Automobile Association Eastern Pennsylvania Representative Dave Penske, who presented the mannequin to the fire company as part of a national program.

Former Schwenksville Fire Co. Chief and CPR Instructor Nick Matregrano applied for the grant, and said that this will provide the fire company with a needed youth mannequin.

"One thing we didn't have here was a one-year-old through eight-year-old mannequin." said Matregrano. "It's hard to train for a youth with an adult mannequin."

Matregrano said that the mannequin will also be used in swift water resuscitation training.
