Woman Charged with Allegedly Having Sex with Teen Near Swamp Creek Park

A New Hanover resident was allegedly found having sex with a teen boy in a car parked on the side of the road.

Carolyn Supplee, of Jennifer Lane in New Hanover, was allegedly found having sex with a teen boy in a car parked near Swamp Creek Park, according to The Reporter.

On Sept. 4, around 4:36 pm, New Hanover police received a report of a suspicious vehicle parked on the side of the road – the occupants of which appeared to be having sex. Upon arrival to the scene, police found Supplee, 41, and a teen boy in the vehicle. The boy said they "were just talking."

Later in the evening, with his parents present, police say that the teen voluntarily described his relationship with Supplee - that they had engaged in sexual intercourse on more than 40 occasions over the past year, and that she supplied him with marijuana on multiple occasions.

Supplee has been charged with 15 counts of second-degree felony statutory sexual assault, plus more than 20 other charges. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 1 pm on Sept. 17 before District Judge Maurice Saylor.
