Vereb Co-Hosting Fundraiser for Police Memorial

The event will be held on March 16, in conjunction with the Conshohocken St. Patrick's Day Parade.

Local State Representative Mike Vereb is holding a St. Patrick’s Day fundraiser to benefit the Montgomery County Police Officer’s Memorial Fund on Sept. 16 after the Conshohocken St. Patrick’s Day Parade.

The event will be held at Washington Fire Co. at 36 W Elm Street in Conshohocken at 4 p.m., directly following the borough’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade down Fayette Street.

Tickets are $25 per person and include entertainment, and food, beer wine and soda.  Kids are welcome to the event.

According to Vereb, who represents Collegeville and Trappe Boroughs in the Perkiomen Valley, all money raised will towards maintaining the memorial that bears the names of Montgomery County police officers who lost their lives in the line of duty, and it pays for an annual ceremony and luncheon in which fallen officers are remembered and their families are honored.

“You can like and share this [invitation, attached to the article] but showing up is the best way to say thank you to our law enforcement community,” Vereb said on a Facebook post.

“Special thanks to retired Rep Mike Gerber for all his years of leading this event over the years,” Vereb, who is co-hosting with Rep. Mary Jo Daley, said.
