Verbal Altercation Causes Middle School Lockdown

No students were injured and no weapons were involved.

A verbal altercation between a pair of students in the cafeteria caused the lockdown of Pottsgrove Middle School on Wednesday afternoon, according to a report by the Sanatoga Post.

The report states that after one of the students involved in the incident had overturned the cafeteria's salad bar, Principal Bill Ziegler called for the lockdown "as a precautionary measure." No injuries were reported, and no weapons were involved, accord to the Sanatoga Post's report.

The student who flipped the salad bar tried to flee the cafeteria, but was restrained by the school's safety officer, the report states. Shortly after the incident, students and faculty were allowed to return to their classes.

Here's a comment from one of our Facebook followers: "Brian Nagele - A kid got angry and flipped a salad bar. Where's the threat to the entire school? Sounds like the school went into a "need a change of underwear" moment just because of one unruly kid. Truly an overreaction. Next time, get the kid and punish him accordingly - maybe clear out the cafeteria to prevent injury. But total lockdown? Really?"

We really need to go back to the way it was, I experienced it, where you were very respectful of your Teacher's and Parent's!!! Kids have to much authourity over everyone, they need to have all authourity removed and soon!
