UPDATE: Ursinus Building Evacuated After Chlorine Leak

The Floyd Lewis Bakes Center, which houses the college's fitness center and pool, was closed Friday afternoon; the pool is closed until further notice.

Update, Dec. 7 at 5:34 p.m.:

The Floyd Lewis Bakes Center has reopened, according to an Ursinus College e-mail.

"Bakes Athletic Center has reopened. Air quality has been tested and is safe," said Kim Taylor, director of campus safety for Ursinus College.  "The pool will be closed for repairs until further notice."

The Floyd Lewis Bakes Center on the Ursinus College campus is closed until further notice, according to an e-mail from Ursinus Campus Safety.

According to the Montgomery County Department of Public Safety, there was a chlorine leak inside of the Floyd Lewis Bakes Center, which houses the William Elliot Pool.

According to DPS, three patients were treated and one refused treatment.

Area fire and EMS companies are in the process of wrapping up their operation.
