Upper Perk Officer Injured While Serving Warrant

The suspect barricaded himself in his Pennsburg home; the North Penn Tactical Response Team was dispatched.

 

An Upper Perkiomen police officer injured his ankle while serving a warrant in Pensburg Borough on Nov. 23, according to The Reporter.

The officer will miss several weeks of work due to an ankle injury that was sustained while serving a felony warrant on Kevin Bunt, of the 300 block of Dotts Street.

After Bunt barricaded himself inside his residence and refused to surrender, the North Penn Tactical Response Team was dispatched.  Bunt was taken into custody and turned over to the Pottstown Police.

According to the article, police said that the warrant was related to a Pottstown incident in which Bunt allegedly assaulted a family member.
