Two Men Arrested for Burglary, Botched Robbery, Police Say

The two men allegedly burglarized two homes while the owners were asleep.

Two men were arrested in connection with several thefts over the course of July in Upper Hanover Township and Pennsburg Borough.

Lee Slack Jr., 20, of the 1200 block of St. Pauls Church Road in Pennsburg, and Christopher Rementer, 19, of the 200 block of E. Sixth Street in Red Hill, were arrested July 31 after allegedly burglarizing several area homes, according to the Pennsylvania State Police.

According to the Town and Country, Slack and Rementer burglarized homes in Jody Court in Pennsburg and Oakwood Drive in Upper Hanover overnight while residents of the homes were asleep, and stole items from vehicles in the area, too, police said.

Slack and Rementer allegedly stole items from two vehicles in Upper Hanover overnight on August 8, and on the early morning hours of July 25, the men burglarized two homes and another vehicle.

The men allegedly stole more than $3,800 in jewelry, computers, a digital camera, Blackberry, GPS devices and a bike, among other devices, from the two homes, according to police.

Less than one week later, the men were cited with disorderly conduct after police believe was a botched burglary at the Redners in Red Hill.

On July 24, police say Slack and Rementer entered the East Sixth Street store dressed in dark clothing and Halloween masks; they allegedly mumbled something to the cashier and ran out of the store.
