Two DUI Crashes Reported This Week

DUI Crashes were reported in Lower Frederick and Upper Salford Townships since Aug. 31

19-year-old Blue Bell Woman Crashes in Lower Frederick
According to the Pennsylvania State Police, 19-year-old Hope Daniel, of Blue Bell, has been charged with DUI after her car struck an electrical pole in Lower Frederick Township just after midnight on Sept. 2.

The report states that Daniel was traveling westbound on Zieglerville Road when, for an unknown reason, she lost control of the vehicle and struck an electrical pole on the north side of the road, near 24 Zieglerville Road.

Police determined that Daniel was operating the vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, and charges were filled in District Court 38-2-03, according to the report.  There was no indication in the report if Daniel was also charged with underage drinking.

Bridgeport Woman sustains injuries in Upper Salford Township Crash
Police are investigating an incident in which 25-year-old Bonnie Rupp crashed her vehicle in Upper Salford Township on Aug. 31 around 10 pm.

Rupp, of Bridgeport, crashed into a guiderail while turning right onto Shelly Road from Sumneytown Pike in Upper Salford Township.

Charges are pending the State Police investigation - the incident was listed as a DUI crash, according to the report.
