Train Strikes Vehicle in Royersford Friday

The vehicle stalled on the train tracks; no one was injured.

A man was able to escape his vehicle stuck on the Norfolk Southern tracks in Royersford just before it was struck by a train on Friday night, according to Royersford Borough Police.

A man, whose name and vehicle was not available from police at the time of publication, was traveling west on Main Street around 11:30 p.m., and was turning around to go to the French Quarter Bistro, police said.

The man attempted to make a right into the railroad plaza parking lot, but police believe the man inadvertently turned onto the train tracks and his vehicle stalled on the tracks.
