Theft, Fraud, Forgery Reported in Upper Salford and Perkiomen

A bad check was cashed in Upper Salford; a Perkiomen resident reported a theft of $3,300 in a separate incident.

Theft-Fraud-Forgery Incident in Perkiomen Township

A Perkiomen Township resident reported a loss of $3,300 after one of his checks was forged and cashed, according to the Pennsylvania State Police.

The 56-year-old male, who resides on the 100 block of Lincoln Road, reported the incident on Nov. 14.

Police are still investigating this incident. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Pennsylvania State Police at 610-584-1250 and reference incident number K03-188831.

Theft-Fraud-Forgery Reported at Upper Salford Business

The Upper Salford Landis Supermarket, located at 2700 Shelly Road, lost over $600 when a customer wrote a check on a closed bank account, according to the Pennsylvania State Police.

A PSP report states that a 25-year-old male suspect arrived at the store between Nov. 18 and Nov. 23 between 7:45 a.m. and 10:04 p.m. and purchased $610.33 worth of groceries with two personal checks from a closed bank account.
