Teen Brought ‘Large Amount’ of Crack Cocaine to Graterford, Police Say

A 19-year-old Williamsport woman was charged with drug possession.

 

A 19-year-old woman was arrested at Graterford Prison on Feb. 3 after she allegedly brought a “large amount” of crack cocaine on prison grounds, according to the Pennsylvania State Police.

Authorities were called to the prison just before 10 a.m. after the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections Drug Interdiction Unit member allegedly found Morgan Taylor Carter, of Williamsport, in possession of a large amount of a controlled substance, which was later determined to be crack cocaine, police said.

Carter was charged with "delivery or possession with intent to deliver controlled substances,” “controlled substance contraband to confined persons,” both felonies, as well as simple possession, a misdemeanor.

Carter was unable to post $5,000 bail and remains in the Montgomery County Correctional Facility. Her preliminary hearing will be held on March 6 in front of District Justice Albert Augustine.
