State Police to Present Seminar on Fraud

The event, geared toward older adults, will be held at Encore Experiences in Harleysville, in conjunction with Home Instead Senior Care.

Pennsylvania State Police Trooper Morgan Crummy will present “Fraud: What’s Happening in Harleysville” on April 12 at 12:30 p.m. at Encore Experiences in Harleysville, along with a representative from Home Instead Senior Care.

“The growing incidence of scams is putting many older adults in harm’s way,” says the event description. “Cons against us are not always blatant theft, they can be subtle.”

A senior fraud prevention kit will be given to all attendees, which will educate residents on the top senior scams, tools to help assess risk, and a checklist to help protect seniors and their loved ones.
