State Police To Conduct Weekend Sobriety Checkpoint

Checkpoint will be located somewhere in the western portion of the county between July 6 and July 9

The Pennsylvania State Police have issued a report stating that they will be conducting a sobriety checkpoint somewhere in western Montgomery County between July 6 and July 9. Though the exact location was not released, the report did indicate that the location is "considered a high-risk area."

"Sobriety checkpoints are held to reduce alcohol related crashes resulting in injuries, death and property damage," the report states. "The State Police encourage all motorists to make the right decision and not attempt to operate a motor vehicle after consuming alcoholic beverages or controlled substances."
