Smash-and-Grab Theft Reported at Local Park


The Pennsylvania State Police are investigating the report of a smash-and-grab theft at the Central Perk Valley Park in Perkiomen Township on July 14.

Unknown individuals smashed the driver side window of a vehicle in the parking lot of the facility, located a 6 Plank Road, between 7:30-9 p.m., police said.

The thieves made off with the purse of a 44-year-old College woman that had $20 in cash and multiple credit cards, according to police.

According to police, the victim's purse was found in a trash dumpster in the Providence Town Center; troopers continue to investigate the incident.
