Skippack Man Jailed After Halloween Party Assault, Police Say

The man allegedly punched his wife and held a pillow over he head, according to police.

A Skippack man is in jail after allegedly assaulting his wife and holding a pillow over her face after a Halloween party, according to police.

On Sunday, a woman reported that her husband, of the 2000 block of Piermont way, attached her after returning from a neighbor’s house, according to the Pottstown Mercury.

According to the victim, she became upset that her husband was staring at another woman at a party, and he became angry when she confronted him, according to court records.

Upon returning home, the man allegedly got on top of the victim and struck her face several times and held a pillow over her face, police said.

As the victim tried to get away, the man allegedly became enraged and punched the victim in the face several times with his fist, according to a court record.

The victim’s husband allegedly told her not to report the incident to police because “nobody would believe her” and that his “police friends” would “take care of it.”

According to police, bruises were witnessed on the victim’s eyes, face, lower lip, right ear, back of her neck and left forearm when she arrived at the State Police Barracks on Sunday morning.

The man was charged with one count of misdemeanor simple assault and one count of summary harassment, and was transported to the Montgomery County Correctional Facility after failing to post $5,000 bail.
