Schwenksville, Whitpain Men Arrested for Soliciting Without Permit, Police Say

Daniel Cook, 23, of Plowshare Road, Blue Bell, and Thomas Hanahan V, 22, of Fell Lane, Schwenksville, were allegedly soliciting for Bankers Life & Casualty Co. in Whitpain, police said.

Schwenksville man and a Whitpain Township man were arrested by Whitpain Township Police this month for allegedly violating the township ordinance of soliciting without a permit door-to-door, police said.

On Dec. 20, at 2:01 p.m., police received a report of two white men soliciting on Muhlenberg Drive, police said.

Officers located Thomas Hanahan V, 22, of the 300 block of Fell Lane, Schwenksville, and Daniel Cook, 23, of the 1100 block of Plowshare Road, Blue Bell, on the 1500 block of Muhlenberg Road, police said.

Both were allegedly soliciting without a permit for Bankers Life & Casualty Co. by distributing brochures for life insurance, police said.
