School Bus Crash Reported in Trappe

The school bus operator lost consciousness on Wednesday afternoon, police say.

 

A school bus crashed on Wednesday just after 3 p.m. when the driver lost consciousness at the intersection of West Seventh and Main Streets in Trappe, according to the Pennsylvania State Police.

The bus, driven by a Collegeville man, was stopped at a red light when the driver lost consciousness and traveled into a vehicle, driven by a Collegeville woman, according to police.

There were no injuries to either operators, or to the passengers in the school bus, according to police, and both vehicles were drivable. 

The vehicle hit by the school bus suffered damage to its passenger side door, front and rear quarter panels, police said.

The operator of the bus was taken to Phoenixville Hospital for testing and observation, according to police.
