Royersford Man Burglarized Perkiomen Home, Police Say

The PSP is asking the public for information on any burglaries involving a white Acura.

A Royersford man was arrested for the burglary of a Perkiomen Township home, and police are requesting the public’s assistance in identifying similar burglaries that may have occurred involving a white Acura.

A resident of Bechter Road in Perkiomen Township reported to police that a white Acura was parked in his driveway on Aug. 21 around 11:23 a.m., the Pennsylvania State Police said. 

When the victim entered his home after the Acura left the scene, the victim reported that several items had been stolen, according to police.

The victim provided the registration information for the vehicle, which was spotted in Trappe Borough by the Pennsylvania State Police, and Andrew Top, 27, of Royersford, was identified as the driver of the vehicle, according to police.

A search of the vehicle found items removed from the residence of the victim, police said, and Top was charged with burglary, theft, criminal trespass and possession of an instrument of crime.

The police are continuing to investigate this incident, and ask anyone with information regarding Andrew Top or similar burglaries involving a white Acura to call the State Police barracks at 610-583-1250 and ask for Trooper John Becker.
