Police Reports: Week of July 13

Schwenksville Elementary School vandalized, jewelry stolen in Skippack and DUI in Upper Providence.

Elementary School Vandalized

The Pennsylvania State Police are investigating an incident of institutional vandalism, which occurred at the Schwenksville Elementary School.

According to the report, an unknown suspect -- or suspects -- walked onto the front of the property and damaged four bollard lamps sometime between the hours of 5 p.m. on July 11 and 9 a.m. on July 12.

Landscaping Equipment Stolen from Garage

Two Echo blowers were stolen from the rear garage of Native Designs Landscaping, located along the 4400-block of Skippack Pike in Schwenksville.

The report states that sometime between 11 a.m. on July 7 and 4 p.m. on July 10, a person(s) forcibly entered the rear garage and removed the equipment from the property.

The PSP are continuing to investigate the incident.

Man Smashes Window in Schwenksville

According to a report by the state police, 22-year-old Scott Louis Wert, of Lower Frederick, has been charged with criminal mischief after he allegedly smashed a window along the 200-block of Walnut Street in  Schwenksville.

The report states that Wert intentionally smashed the window of the home "for no reason or purpose" sometime between 10:30 a.m. and 5:10 p.m. on July 12, causing approximately $75 in damage.

Insurance Fraud in Schwenksville

Police are investigating an incident of insurance fraud in Schwenksville, in which an unknown suspect fraudulently used the insurance information belonging to Thomas Conroy, of Schwenksville, following a vehicle accident along the 4500-block of Forest Lane on July 2.

Broken Jewelry Stolen from Unlocked Vehicle

Three pieces of broken jewelry were stolen from an unlocked vehicle along the 3700-block of Skipview Lane in Skippack Township during the evening of July 10.

According to the report, and unknown suspect entered the vehicle and rummaged through the interior until the items were located within the left driver-side door. The suspect then ran toward Township Line Road, where they entered an unknown vehicle and drove away in an unknown direction.

DUI in Upper Providence

A Pottstown woman is facing charges of DUI and related offenses following a 2 a.m. traffic stop along Route 422 in Upper Providence on July 7.

According to the report, Brooke Fryberger, 27, was pulled over after police observed traffic violations. Upon speaking to Fryberger, she allegedly exhibited signs of intoxication, and she failed the subsequent field sobriety tests.

The report states that charges will be filed in Magisterial District Court 38-1-19 for DUI and related offenses.
