Teen driver crossed onto other side of roadway and fatally struck woman in Limerick, police said.
A female pedestrian was killed Monday afternoon when she was struck by a vehicle on N. Lewis Road in Limerick.
According to Police Chief William Albany, a green Ford Focus traveling northbound on N. Lewis Road had crossed into the southbound lane "for unknown reasons" and struck a woman wearing jogging clothes before striking a utility pole and sustaining heavy front-end damage.
The 18-year-old male driver of the Focus sustained what Albany called minor injuries and was transported to Phoenixville Hospital for treatment.
