No Injuries in Early-Morning Lower Frederick Fire

The Montgomery County Tank Task Force was called to the scene; damage was limited to the second floor and roof.

 

Lower Frederick and Limerick Fire Departments responded to a two-alarm fire at Meng and Adelphi Roads in Lower Frederick Township during early morning hours of Jan. 11, according to Limerick Fire Rescue.

The residents of the dwelling called 911 just after 1 a.m., and fire crews found a working second floor fire with heavy smoke.

Due to the rural location with no fire hydrants, a second alarm was dispatched for the Western Montgomery County Tanker Task Force. 1000 feet of hose was laid from a portable pool and six tanker trunks were on scene to provide water for the fire.

Damage was limited to the second floor and roof.

Lower Frederick and Trappe Ambulances were on scene to aid firefighters; Souderton Goodwill Station 41 provided food and beverages.
